Consulting with leaders in the fight against hunger through a lens of lived expertise is one of my core solutions to understanding food insecurity, equity, inclusion, and racial injustice. I’ve lived through what many people only learn about when Experts on Adversity break their silence. I have helped develop frameworks, workshops, created, lead, and managed programs and projects all aiming at contributing to help end food insecurity and assist low-income communities. I have successfully delivered impactful keynotes, panels, and written testimonies to share with Congressional offices.

I currently work for Hunger-Free America as their Community Empowerment Manager. Some of my current and or recent engagements include the following organizations: Alliance to End Hunger, the Center for Law and Social Policy, the Food and Research Action Center, Feeding America.

In addition, I am currently participating in a paid fellowship program through Women’s Way which focuses on Changing the Narrative. I am proud to be 1 of the10 women chosen from Philadelphia and the surrounding areas to become a fellow. “The purpose of the program is to generate awareness of racial and gender inequities in economic opportunity and spur actions among the public and private sectors that improve economic security in the Philadelphia region.”

I also have presented at many places of worship, colleges, and universities. All of my current work is aligned with my personal mission to eradicate food insecurity in this country.

I’m excited to hearing from you!

“There is a lot of good being done to help families in poverty, but unfortunately it is not enough. We need to bolster and strengthen programs that are working – not cut them. We need to find what is not working and fix it – not throw out all of the programs because some might need some changes. We need to work together to find solutions – not bicker about who is right and who is wrong.”
